Baby Jacob’s Birth

  • July 5, 2010 5:19 pm

Yesterday in the wee hours of the morning I had the pleasure of photographing the incredible birth of baby Jacob.

His mommy Melissa was attempting a VBAC delivery (vaginal birth after c-section) and it was looking for a while like it was going to end in a repeat cesarean due to many hours of not progressing past 4cm, putting the risk for uterine rupture higher. However, just when it got down to the wire, things started progressing well – and little Jacob made it into the world without surgical intervention! So proud of Melissa who was a champ, her Mom and her husband Omar who supported her all the way. Special thanks to the family of Melissa and Omar who accepted me into their family for the long haul!

So, without further ado, allow me to present to you the story of Baby Jacob – born on Independence Day and from what I understand he is quite the little firecracker ;)

Since the little man was born in Independence Day, I thought it appropriate to include some photos of the fireworks show from the day he was born.

A Beautiful Mama

I had the honour of photographing this beautiful family for their maternity photos yesterday.  They were so sweet and I had a lot of fun at one of my favourite locations here in Santa Clarita.  Their little boy Nicholas was so good and fun to work with!   She is due to give birth within the next few weeks, where I will be capturing the event.  Stay tuned :)

Here is a sneak peak from the session.  Enjoy!
